Invisible Hearing Aid – Duncan is qualified to fit and supply the OtoLens

Duncan is now qualified to fit and supply the Starkey OtoLens – a new hearing aid that is fitted so deep into the ear canal that it is completely invisible, as close to a contact lens for the ear as you can get!

The OtoLens sits in the bony part of the ear canal, very close to the ear drum. It’s position in the ear canal avoids some of the traditional acoustic problems we have with more traditional hearing aids, such as occlusion, comfort, whistling and wax problems. The OtoLens also allows us to aid more significant losses than we would normally be able to fit with such a small hearing aid due to it’s position so close to the ear drum that we don’t require the same levels of amplification.
