I thoroughly recommend this book.  An easy read that left me feeling very positive about life.  A book with a number of surprises; whereby you think you have the measure of the characters when suddenly you find out something new which throws a completely different perspective on the whole story.

I enjoyed reading about the relationships between mother and son and it is fascinating to see other relationships form through the book.  The book demonstrates dramatically how so many lives are affected by a single event.  You wonder how life would have been if they had turned a different corner on that fateful day.

    I really enjoyed this book and loved the way the story unfolded. Although it was prirmarily about the relationship between a mother and son, it was in no way sentimental. It was interesting to see just how much some people have to contend with but more importantly how they coped with these difficulties.
