Wax Removal
From the beginning of November we shall finally be able to offer a wax removal service. As we are now members of the Healthcare Professions Council (HPC) we have elected to undertake the newly accredited Clinical Ear Care for Hearing Aid Audiologists Course (CECHAA).
To offer the most effective service we will use a combination of micro-suction and hand-picking with dedicated extraction tools according to the most appropriate method considering shape, size of ear canal and degree of occlusion. However it may still be necessary to refer clients to our preferred partners such as the ENT consultants at the Chiltern Hospital where we feel their expertise is required.
We will hold weekly ‘Wax Clinics’ to reduce the inconvenience and discomfort caused by a build up of wax. We will be able to provide a before and after photo of the ear canal so you can be sure the job is done.
