Duncan Collet-Fenson BSc MSHAA
Managing Director
Duncan joined Aston Hearing in 1998 becoming a Director of the business when the company incorporated in 2000, becoming Managing Director when the founder of Aston Hearing Services, Susan Webster, retired in September 2008. On a personal note, Duncan married Susan‘s daughter Kate in 1998 and they have two children, Lucia and Charlie. Duncan has a very intuitive, empathetic audiological style with a deep understanding of how to achieve the best results from the technology available. Of recent years Duncan has been an invited member of various manufacturers’ focus groups, allowing him to highlight the concerns of end users directly to those involved in product research and development.
Kate Collet-Fenson MSHAA
Director
Originally Kate had no intention of joining her mother’s business; it was only when her husband, Duncan, started to work for the company that she became more personally involved. Once this interest was ignited she worked hard to help grow Aston Hearing Services and is responsible for managing the office on a day-to-day basis. She became a qualified Hearing Aid Audiologist in 2002.
Susan Webster MSHAA
Founding Director
Susan, although officially retired from the business in 2008, is still very much involved and her many years of audiological experience are an invaluable resource for Aston Hearing. Susan trained at the Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital in London and then started her audiological career at Wycombe Hospital. Susan transferred to the private sector in 1987 and then in 1989 she established Aston Hearing Services.
Christine Headworth MSHAA
Senior Hearing Aid Audiologist
Christine has been with the practice since 1992; she qualified in 1995 and has a wealth of audiological experience. She has an excellent manner with exceptional patience and perseverance enabling clients to find the optimum solution to their hearing loss.
Lorna Hawkins
Customer Services
Lorna, Duncan’s mother, has worked for Aston Hearing Services since 2000, ably looking after everything from running the Carefree Club, customer accounts, to dealing with manufacturers and repairs.
Jacqueline Webster
Marketing & Website Co-ordinator
Jacqueline is Kate and Duncan’s sister-in-law and has fitted into the family business effortlessly. Jacqueline or Jax as she likes to be known, juggles a busy home life, looking after her son Oliver whilst working on marketing projects, our website updates and helping to organise our many events that we run throughout the year.
Rhoda Reilly
Accounts
Rhoda, a long standing family friend and valued member of the team, joined in 2007, looking after accounts and book keeping and providing back up on reception whenever required.
Emma Bates
Database Co-ordinator
Emma provides invaluable cover on reception during the busy morning periods but her primary role is looking after our database. Emma joins us after having enjoyed a break from her career to have her two sons Sam and George.
Karen Williams
Audiology Support
Karen joined Aston Hearing after a career break spanning 14 years where she took time to raise her two daughters Alice and Emma. Karen is embarking on a full career within Audiology, undertaking a foundation degree in Hearing Aid Audiology. Karen supports the Audiology team carrying out hearing assessments and hearing aid repairs, and an invaluable role in supporting new wearers in adjusting to their hearing aids with great patience and understanding.
